52 Blocks, also known as Jailhouse Rock or Comstock, is a African American martial art developed in the streets and prisons of the USA. It is a defensive martial art that utilizes blocks, elbow strikes, feints, sound distortion, and many other tactics. It is alleged to be a prison fighting system, either developed within its walls or brought to them by unjustly imprisoned descendants of African slaves. It is also known as a collective term used to describe the fighting styles that evolved out of the US penal institutions.
